I swear by Ableton-workflow is so good compared to say Reaper or Reason (can’t comment on FL as I’ve never tried it out)
It’s always good to learn a new DAW, but I wouldn’t really experiment with too many at once. Just my opinion. Once you learn one inside and out, experimenting with another can be a great thing. If someone is just starting out of course trying them all for a while is the way to go.
Also: ReWire. Basically lets you use one DAW within another as a “plugin”. This is the best of both worlds. I do it with Cubase & FL to use each of their strengths, but there’s some unique stuff in Live that is just amazing tbh. The proprietary Max For Live stuff mostly. I’m not a fan of the workflow however, and I don’t like those FX racks and such scrolling at the bottom. Never upgraded from my old copy though so maybe things have changed.
They are not the same.
