Interesting technique, gonna try that. Been bouncing more things to audio lately.
yeah
maybe mix with some vinyl noise or some noise sample put through the same reverb
makes it glue a bit and creates some neat artifacts
Yeah, I realized like yesterday that I haven’t really designed many pads lately, just been focusing on leads and basses.
its very chill coming up with those sounds
got me into ambient recently
but yeah def mix some different sources
it makes it all 3d
you could also put the whole ‘mixed -instrument’ through that stretch thing
Paulstretch is available as a vst plugin now too afaik
Made by the dude himself?
Made by DJ Stretch.
Nice bruh! I’ll grab that one
You got a souncloud or anything?
I need to pull out my super secret pad machines. They are in a case.
Everytime I mention them, the price goes up.
Basic bitch level but lots of fun

Also Synth1 is good. A lot of grit and grain so washy 90s jungle pads prob aren’t going to be easy to come by but acid techno pads maybe…
i guess so, haven’t looked at it yet but I keep meaning to install that plugin
yeah hubb said it’s a program that runs outside of your DAW but the link he posted has the VST downloads in it
Looks great man, cheers
Obviously these guys are very good at it but people who use a live set up or have tried one out can you explain how a set like this is done? Surely they’re not making it all up on the fly lol it’s too good. How do they transition? How’s it all timed so perfectly? It’s madness, feels like magic cus I literally have no clue
I guess they’ve made parts or projects that they can jam/improvise on.
The fx use looks very live and improvised, also saw the dude just quickly punch in a 4 to the floor on one of the Elektron boxes. Just watched the start for a couple of minutes.
With everything synced with MIDI, you can do a lot of impro stuff live. Check out this dude for example. Some stuff is of course planned a bit beforehand.
yeah
These are sick bro! Textures 4 dayz
something about this just doesn’t sit right with me
Ok, saying it’s a lot of impro is stretching it. He has obviously set up the devices to play the parts they play, then mostly manipulates fx and volume levels.
