it’s easier than max or reaktor for sure—installing it is the hard part. it’s Soundloom that sucks. There are things I can do with CDP that I’ve never thought to try before, or may not even be possible—even with Kyma. processing sound files offline allows for some very unique approaches and workflows.
I disagree. Think it’s got a lot more to do with volume and arrangement than sparseness, which is more of a composition than arrangement thing.
If your kick is louder than everything else, then it will ‘knock’.
Turn up the dB until it’s turns everything red, then resample that, and play it in a way that isn’t in the red, and voila u have a distorted kick with no Tru distortion. It’s sik and Tru and and can be used in everything to give it that raw and relentless power that u and all the hood rats have been finding over
