Really nice selection of samples to work with, well done lad.

Been wrestling hard with a weird motivation block (I get em from time to time) last few months.

I think in part it’s because - despite being unemployed - my time is largely spoken for with various family obligations atm and I’ll resent things if I can’t just throw myself into it and stay up til sunrise like the [very] old days.

Sigh.

Gonna do it tho. Gonna finish Illuminate’s remix too.

Maybe soft drugs will help lol.

Finished my entry today in about an hour. Feeling depressed as shit but got focused on it for a bit. Felt good; tune sucks but

started writing a track “Bet U A Tenner” with the sample pack

there were no one shots for the drums, so I had to sample the individual snare, kick, and hi hats from the vinyl drum loops in the sample pack (I guess that would be “re-sampling”?)

How weird am I allowed to get with the rhythm? Do I have to use either 5/4 or 4/4 and stick with what I chose? Can I make the rhythm be contextual, changing over the course of the thing? You planning to DJMagicMixerMan these things together or something?
