no, but came out of the tail end of dungeon scene, ie first releases on black box and innamind are a bit rooted in that sound, before he got so nuts and wonky

Yeah there is a def split after a certain point between Blackbox/ old Innnamind and Medi
Wub also used to swear he was on DSF asking for advice about making Brostep back in the day as well.

his earliest boxclever (which predates the innamind/blackbox releases) don’t sound dungeon to me - tho tbf I never really fully got what ‘dungeon’ meant
i guess dungeon’s an unfair term cos it has such neg associations
but that sounds linked in uk dubstep at the time- ie that hollow growl sound at the beginning, like a lot of vivek and especially early vivek stuff, or commodo stuff like gassin/lurkin, very much products of that time and that sound, albeit way more interesting sounding tunes than most

i agree, especially as some of these people clearly do have an account and lurk frequently
ie gantz tweeting a screenshot from when l4gendary said he sucked in the unpopular opinions thread in the old snh
like if you’re seeing it come down and argue with the nerds, screenshots like that just reinforce the view that this place is all neg nerds when legendary was arguing with half the users on his 1s on that topic haha
