Threw a bunch of vocal samples from the Pulse 100K sample over some heavy dark vibes I made. The track is not really complete, however, and I’m not sure how much more I will work on it. I believe it’s a dubstep-electro cross. shrug.
I honestly just want some feedback and to not feel alone in this process of learning

Usually this style is called G-House. Reminds me of Malaa. Pretty dope track mate

Snappy snares aren’t loud enough

Samples need individual attention to make them fit in the track

Is there any sidechaining on the lead? I can’t hear it
Hey man thanks. Yeah, sidechaining is on almost everything other than risers/downlifters and the vocals. Using a muted 4/4 ghost kick with a glue compressor. I try to keep the side chaining sort of transparent.
The individual voice pieces definitely need love, all I did was EQ a spot in for them in the leads and adjusted volume slightly. Honestly they were kind of added in for a joke and I ran with it.
I wouldn’t mind replacing most of them (The voice samples) with something more meaningful. I really didn’t intend for the song to be so “Gangster”, but I do like the heavy vibes.
The growl/main synth is two Serum patches, one with a dramatic EQ cutting out the mids and peaks on either side, sort of like creating a formant filter but I’m not automating anything. The 2nd synth is a wimpy growl which is just high and low passed so it fits in the middle beside the voice track.
By snappy snares do you mean the drums in the intro or the during the heavy 4/4 part? I could try giving them little a boost!
This would sound awesome at a festival!
You’ve probably been doing this longer than I have, but I think it sounds good.
Thanks man! I really appreciate it. I made that track the first night I missed my favourite festival (Valhalla Sound Circus) so I was really trying to recreate that heavy festival vibe.
Been trying production for 3 years or so, still nowhere where I wanna be but getting closer! Thanks again.
