Ye, gonna push for that cabled interwebz here, been too lax with it towards landlord, but gonna take action. I pay way too much for a connection that drops out several times per hour, been even worse since new taxi driver tenant moved into the other part of the basement next to mine, we’re all on the same wifi (us tenants and landlord + his fam). Concrete walls and ceiling here, router is somewhere upstairs in landlord’s villa.
landlords are generally slags tbf. maybe google all the tech stuff and price and land it on him. if wifi’s part of the tenancy then proper wifi not shitty home router is what he needs to provide
Nah m8 need cabled. Connection speed is not the problem here, it’s the stability. Already have some gear here to hook up, just need to drill some holes through some walls to do it, to parts of the house I don’t have access to.
It’s “part of the tenancy” but not in the proper legal way, since I don’t have access to the actual connection point. Several other legally shady things here, but he doesn’t give me trouble for noise or anything else, so gonna hang around for a while longer. I doubt he’ll give me any trouble, though if he tries, he’s gonna get deep-fried. Got all my own bases covered, considering the legality of the setup.
