Oh. I figured out that most all of the producing is at times fully logical. Artists want to push their sound through the machine but give up when they can’t seem to overcome logical roadblocks. That’s how it is for me at least. Other artists tend to put out arguably crappy music just because they understand how to sell here and now.

How do you think WZ made this big wub bass in No Skeng? Aptly, his studio gear is likely decent. But what is it that shaves off unwanted noise but leaves big dubstep bass so clean? I tried making one and trashed the sample because it just wasn’t clean enough

My av receiver died and I’m gonna get a new one, anyone got any recommendations?
I don’t have a fancy set up, just 5.1 surround (but I don’t have a good spot for the surround speakers so it’s just 3.1 right now lol).
Got a new receiver, but it seems like my sub woofer isn’t woofering. Hmm.
I tried a different cable, but that’s not it. The speaker itself seems to be working, because it’ll output a frequency when I turn it on, or if the cable is barely touching the input.
I think i remember it not working before I got the new receiver, so I don’t think it’s the receiver.
It is an old ass sound system, so might just be time for a new sub

I’ve not opened Reaper in about 6 months. Just booted up some files and everything sounds like dogshit. Bloated with artefacts, and really low quality like it’s a 96kbps rip of a song recorded through the laptop mic.
No idea how to fix it, or even what is wrong. The Audio Device settings look fine (i think). Tried uninstall/reinstall and a restart but nada. And now all my Vital presets are corrupted.
hard to tell with just the info you give tbh, there’s nothing that looks obviously wrong in your screenshots
does the issue persist if you try a different audio device for the output?
did you change something in your setup the last 6 months?
if you run MacOS Activity Monitor, does anything look weird when you try to playback in Reaper, like cpu or memory crapping out?
also maybe trying unplugging anything you have in USB and see if it fixes the issue

Is it an audio driver issue? I usually use ASIO, and feel like I’ve had a similar issue when it wasn’t set up properly
