I remember playing with actual sounds as wave tables in serum, a cool way was literally taking the bass in terror squad and useing it as a wave table ith some filtering and FM

Exactly, you could just draw the wavetable yourself if you really need to have an oscillator change over time, which I rarely do anyway. I believe Zebra is like that as well.

I can see the fascination about Serum on sound design since it has some cool stuff Massive don’t have for example. Biggest problem i’ve encountered is the CPU load it has. It’s freaking horrifying, anyone else have this problem?
