Sunday Session

Finally got round to recording a mix… first proper one I’ve done really. Always gone to record before and somethings gone wrong or I’ve fucked the mixing that bad I’ve given up. Needed to have a mix to cheer myself up from missing System. Some sketching mixing at times (@Johoosh can’t mix your tune for shit m8) and the low end of Polar seems to be weak since converting it to 320… sounded hench when mixing.

Dub Syndicate - Stoned Immaculate
Strategy - Dub In My System
Henry & Louis - Every Dub
Rhythm & Sound - Rise & Praise
El Mahdy Jr. - Disco Maghreb (Alter Echo Version)

TRG - Put You Down

Big ups! Yeah I used to record a lot when I mixed but I had no structure I just mixed tunes together. These first two I’ve tried to structure it so I just play some dub for the first half then mix some rootsy/dub influenced dubstep for the second.

Oh, and Rule #4 - Label your MP3s properly and USE YOUR FUCKING ID3 TAGS

Right now I’ve just downloaded an Mp3 called Sunday Sessions 002. In three months time, that won’t mean shit in my folder.

Consider something like;

[DJ name] - [Mix Name] [Date of mix].mp3

And ensure your set the ID3 tags to show your DJ name under ‘Artist’ and the name of the mix under ‘Track’.

I can see you’ve set Muncey under the artist tag, so that’s halfway there. But assume that not everyone is using the same view settings in their file directory.

I’ll remember that for future ones!
