Agreed. Had a similar thought when I was checking the mix @Yung_Dave posted the other day - just something about records that feels better
I bought some CDJ-600’S not long back and tbh they are crap… You can read about 7 letters on the screen and I find it harder to mix on them than records, most likely gonna sell them soon enough.

You gonna get something else digital instead? As much as I love vinyl and I cage imagine a time where I’ll stop playing it (I’ll always do a mix of digital and vinyl if a place has turntables for example) I can’t imagine giving up digital - The convenience and ability to have so many tracks available is just too good
I remember walking a couple of miles across Sheffield once with two record boxes full. And another time walking about 4 miles home the next day with a record bag in the blazing sun.
I also remember the first time I played on CDJs and took 40 sets worth of tunes in the pocket of my cargo trousers.

Idk man, it’s all a bit out of my budget…I think if I sell these 600’s I’ll get some of those technics replica things, I think skevin got a pair, not sure who makes them… I might be being a bit rash selling the cdjs tho so I’ll have to think abt it, they’re mint condition and I can’t see them dropping too low in value so there’s no harm in holding onto them…
Just hearing tha mix by _cheef really just reminded me of the fun of mixing vinyl, I get anxious beat matching on cdjs and as sleeps puts it there’s just that indescribable thing with records especially when you can hear someone in the mix “fighting” with the records to keep them in tempo.
