2STEP BAD BOYS THREAD

Got that burial pattern right without it being a rip off ! Sick

Can’t stand for future garage in the bad boys thread unfortunately gotta be a nazi about these things

Even when it’s a new face

lol so you’ve already admitted before that you’re clueless about 2step

It’s fine lol I think circumstances, when YouTube and dubstep came about made ppl really associate garage with burial and that kinda mournful heavy feel

At its peak it was in big part swaggy music people dressed in designer clothes to rave and pull girls to. Shared a lot with sassy American club rnb of the time…yet it also often has that rude/dark/relentless current running through it…that’s vaguely the bad boy flava as interpreted by me, guy from Norway who never saw it when it happened

Words are crap, listen to the thread man especially the early days when the whole forum was on it posting bangers

I dunno what really makes something future garage and something garage apart from future garage being made in the future in relation to garage !

Thought the track linked was a good track

Better than most garage that’s being churned out ATM ,:person_shrugging:

Good enough from a cursory at work listen but would u say it’s got a BAD BOY feel

Valentino & Moschino

I suppose it ain’t BAD BOY !

I’d write a manifesto here but I’d rather get the point across in the long term by making at least a couple good tunes

I get you man dw.

Can’t make the stuff myself either, done a few tracks this year but still ain’t any good at building garage tracks…

It’s a fine line between the drums being too repetitive n them not rolling, kinda similar to jungle

sick one, nice lil comment from one of the guys too

Thanks for uploading this, I last heard this back in 2005. I’m the other half of ā€œTwo-Step2ā€, and this is my favorite track that we released. I lost all my digital copies of these tracks long ago and my vinyl has been in storage since ~2005 when I left the UK. You can listen to some of our unreleased tracks on my Soundcloud page (Stream Simply Complex - underground garage set 60m 2-step dnb inspired, Jo Public by DJ Jo Public | Listen online for free on SoundCloud). I recently found some old minidisks with more of our old tracks and I’m speaking with a label about releasing some of them. Check out my Soundcloud going forward as I’ll be upload more of our old tracks in the coming months.

This tune. It is such an interesting intersection of 2-Step, Broken Beat and Techno. It bumps.

Damn, this is groovy as hell man.

So early too.
I’ve got some pretty new records with a similar sound, lemme see if I can find the Bandcamp.

EDIT ok it wasn’t very similar. But still made me think of it.
