Bass House First Try

Hey guys this is my first attempt at Bass House and it’s for a comp. Im really just looking for feedback and your opinion on whether i should keep at it with the genre  Also this is completely up to you but if you want to vote for it to help in the comp ranking that would be very much appreciated!

is bass house just bigroom w/ wubs

Nah, that’s just this dude’s style.
The idea is house music with non-broey dubstep techniques.

It’s sort of like that in a way. If you listen to the likes of Jauz and Ephwurd it basically a really driving genre with aspects from other genres eg. bigroom, electro, and yes dubstep/brostep but it’s a genre that’s starting to take off more. Thanks for checking it out <3

I agree. It is sort of house i mean it’s the same tempo the breakdowns tend to be more like bigroom or future house kinda breakdowns/intros but it has that well… bass aspect to it so it has more basic kinda wobbles and like you said less broey sounds to it! Thanks for commenting

Bass House/Night Bass is UK bassline (so 2000s speed garage) with some G house influences, (the minimal bass and shuffling) and adapted for bigger crowd approval, so it takes cues from the US EDM scene. Just easily digestible bassline tbh. Unfortunately it seems like it’ll be the new big room, but here are some artists that are worthwhile.
AC Slater, has +1hr mixes
Autoerotique
Jauz
Getter (new stuff, like Radical Dude)
Just look up night bass/ bass house on Soundcloud and you’ll find stuff

I dunno, all of those guys are shite tbh and have little to do with what is good about that scene. They’re pretty much sterile ‘electro-house’

Yes but they’ve coalesced into a sound that isn’t like the rest of electro house. Overall bass house is just wannabe bassline anyway, like the rest of the artists now that create these genre melting pots that are rips of other genres but by adding in some other influences makes it “unique,” like Wiwek’s Jungle Terror
