8GB RAM does me fine and I work with loads of VSTs and samples in every project.
Yeah forsure. 8gb is plenty, don’t get me wrong, but I’m thinking of the long run. 8gb now is 2x4gb sticks, leaving 2 slots. Upgrading is going to have limits, whereas with a 2x8gb 2400mhz set he has one of the fastest un-OCed speed of ram and he has 2 open slots to add 2 MORE 8gb sticks at 2400mhz. That’s pretty damn sexy, and not that much more expensive!
Yeah makes sense to try and future proof wherever you can, but if ur trying to keep to a budget 8gb will do for ur daw, saves a little bit of money anyway
