It’s unreal lol, kahn, commodo and bare talented producers associated with medi are all sitting on piles of dubplate goodness, and they release a tune from years ago that any truhed worth their salt already owns anyway 
…and then that will be it from medi until like next summer or something on their current form, by which time we’ll all be bored of the aforementioned dubplates

Tbh I think every “dubstep era” will have some sort of homogeneous sound just because certain sounds will become popular and so a lot of people jump on that trend. However there’s always a good few labels and artists who are doing their own thing so there’ll always be variety in the sound. I mean I’m sure heads in 2005/6 were complaining that everything is just a halfstep wobbler or whatever. On a side note, I don’t think you can fully appreciate a certain type of sound until a few years later when everyone’s mostly moved on and you can look at it objectively. Like dungeon started to get really stagnant, but going back to some of it now it’s easier to judge them on their own merits and a good few are sick

Release schedule has been incredibly slow this year…

What was the year they put out the Kaiju LP? That was definitely the worst year for that alone.
2016…which was the same year they released Topper Top so you might want to take your statement back.

They were alright, but aside from topper top nothing really stands out. Compare it to other years where there’s always like 2/3 records which could probably be in the running for one of the best releases of the year

New 12" up. Something slower tempo as well. Those are some new heads (Dubkasm), nice to see that Tunnidge is still around and active. Although on the deejay de site it says it’s a white label…
