Most probably not. I’m a club photographer, I know how it goes… Some free beers and exposure, etc. A puffy and a line if you’re lucky.

You could argue that it is, but when the organisers spend thousands on booking some dj, I’d say it would be nice to get some money too for covering the event. If there are no photos it didn’t happen, right? Future promotion material ect.
Tbf being in this kind of biz in Norway sucks. In Sweden there’s a culture where most clubs have a photographer for the events, but here… not so much. Might have to do with it being so fucking expensive to go out and drink, nobody shows up early because everyone is drinking at home before going out, which leads to no crowds to take photos of. Warm-up bands face the same challenge.
