i look forward to another truth on medi tbh. they’re really good producers when they set out to make deeper stuff. ofc i’d rather see a goth trad or commodo (and it’s not like that stuff won’t come too) but let’s be honest, medi has put out some records that no doubt most of us don’t rate above truth. and you know it’ll be truth’s best stuff and they’ll really put a lot of work into it because they (i’m guessing) want to keep their credibility up with the heds.

again, just guessing, but it’s probably similar to why they put eps out on both medi and tempa right before they first released on firepower - to keep the purists at bay, which is a good idea tbh.

this is all conjecture though tbf.

That teaser lineup they posted is essentially what i thought the DMZ 10 lineup would be. Jokes that they’ve booked a bigger lineup, over two nights, on a better sound in a better venue for a fiver cheaper tickets than 10 was.

Got a Bristol gig that weekend too with el band, mashtafari!

Truth records didn’t do anything for me. Fatman is super meh, the rest forgettable imho. (Btw., I think it’s a fairly weak argument to say “Medi has released worse so it’ll be worth it.”)

i didn’t say “medi has released worse so it’ll be worth it”. my point was just that it’s not like a truth release is interrupting a miraculous release schedule, ie there is little to no opportunity cost (sorry for getting all nerdy) of the release.

additionally, we all know people h8 truth. i think it’s for less-than-good (to be charitable) reasons. for instance, i think that if 30,000 ft was by kahn, it would be considered great. you disagree, that’s fine. the discussion has been had a thousand times, i don’t think we need to re-hash it yet again.
