Does this guy know what he's doing?

I’m really new to production, so I’m no pro, I barely know how to produce much less mix on a deck, but this guy’s technique seems sketchy. I’ve been aware of this guy for about a year and always felt iffy about his legitimacy and I want you guys to decide for yourself: Does this guy know what he is doing? Is he fake or is he just using over-simplified techniques. Check out some of the vids on his Instagram of him mixing and please get back to me so I can put my curiosity to rest once and for all.
