You are lol. Takes about 30 secs to fix. Added your DJ name in the file name so I can actually find it when scrolling through my mixes folder.

i mean i added the track name & artist name via audacity - does the download not have all that?

It has, but the file name itself does not. I usually throw my mp3 bounces into Winamp and fill in whatever info I want to include. Lots of space for links to your pages/socials, etc.

None of this is necessary ofc, but if your file (at any point in the future) ends up in the hands of someone who doesn’t know anything about you, this info can help direct them to your stuff.

I just see it as a very basic PR thing, that’s all.

Got lots of mixes I’ve downloaded from here that I don’t even know who made anymore, because there’s no info at all lol.

Same but now I use Kid3 to fill out all the info I can + add artwork.
I can’t fucking stand going through my phone and seeing MixMaster01.mp3 or jimTunes_mix.wav
Even if I buy a tune or album, Ill stick it in there and make sure it’s all named properly, spaces, capitals etc.
