Right fiiinally got something going that I don’t hate.
ANyone find a good kick yet? Struggling with that one.

yeah, got a slamming kick from the ripsaw sample, pretty sure I got my main bass from that too. Process, resample, process, resample, process, etc. I only used the ripsaw, electric drill and stockpot samples for everything, had to delete the others from the project because the digitakt only has something like 64 mb of memory per project and I was going crazy with resampling to build my sounds

I got a glitchy one, not sure if it’s good but I like it

Tossed two brief starts already, but have a shit ton of processed samples now loool. Probably too many. Pretty sure I don’t need 9 different hi hats.

Gotta say hats were definitely the easiest sound to nail right out of the box given all the metallic timbres.

How’s it coming boys? I’m actually pretty happy with mine. It’s coming together

Super happy with mine but struggling as always on actually getting a “song” together.
Been concentrating on making sounds ie. creating a proper bassline using 1 cycle of a sine and looping it, FX & resampling to make proper snares etc , and doing n00b sound design stuff. Invetsed a lot more quality time in this one to actually make proper sounds out of the pack. It’s been challenging but more enjoyable than just smashing samples together.

so far its muddier than i want but ill take the rest of the time learning mud-reduction til its not muddy.

That’s one of the hardest parts of these sample pack comps. It’s really easy to have nasty samples that don’t fit well together

Actually no I’m not. Found a nice bit in the drill sample that I’ve made an alarm / horn thing from.
And I thought of a new section to add.
