Earth is a 5 day outdoor camping, lifestye and electronic music festivals at one of Victoria’s most beautiful and unique venues, located in West Gippsland, only 2 hours East of the CBD.
In the lead up to the November 2013 event they run a blind audition competition, with the prize being a spot to play the festival. The competition invited DJ’s to send in a anonymous 60 to 80min mix. It was then judged by tune selection, mixing ability & not reputation. I was lucky enough to win and get the chance to play. It was a good day, especially running tunes on the mighty Heartical Hi-Fi. Thanks to Sean at Earth Festival [ @dj-roln ] for the opportunity & having me back to play two times after that. Its such a great festival & I cant recommend it enough.
