FREE STUFF (ᴘʟᴜɢ-ɪɴs, sᴀᴍᴘʟᴇs, ᴇᴛᴄ.)

Reverb is giving away a lot of samples these days:

I’ve just heard that Ableton Live 10 Suite is free for 90 days in case any of you wanted to try it out.

Also, Soundtoys Effects Rack is free to use until June if you ever wanted to try out the Soundtoys plugins which are awesome.

Be forewarned, the Sountoys rack made my laptop take a heavy cpu hit when I used it. I usually just use their plugins here and there where I need them.

Nice gonna grab that while its free.
Is this more for using in the mixdown stage on the master, or can you use it on indivdual samples/channels?

I think that is more for mixing and used on individual channels. They have their Ozone suite for mastering.

Ozone Elements sometimes goes for free or cheap as well.

Ive got ozone elements. I get free stuff as and when it pops up to build a collection then i can go thru things at leisure and find out what different things do. Try b4 u buy kinda thing

VCV project really taking off, nice to see.

Yeah, seems like something for the default plugs on all new channels (along w a bandpass and gain.)

Sweet! It’s updates like this that makes me come back to it from time to time. Esp. in love with the new module browser.

That Neutron freeb is dope af btw - gonna keep that one as a default - even though the “AI assisted” thing had some highly questionable suggestions lol, like some low end drum scoops in the EQ that made it sound like a toy drummer monkey inside a box… either its retarded or my samples are aliasing balls of shit

But that aside I like how you can have multiple iterations of the same module; the presets are useful too.

This is great. Maybe ZynFusion is more powerful, but this is a lot more fun. I love this. It crashes when I try to put an OSC in wavetable mode though :expressionless: I’m using the LV2 plugin, maybe the VST2/3 versions would work better idk.

This is also great. Have you heard of Pure Data? It’s another one of these crazy modular systems

Yeah, PD is Max/MSP’s more accessible cousin. Actually can do a lot more than modular patching type stuff: you can design custom instruments and more.

EDIT: holy fuck the remix page is fun as fuck…
