yeah i know. when I see though, that bx has made a model of the shadow hills unit, I think it could be one of the “elysia” branded model compressors they made. just change the graphics.etc. these:
if so, hop on it indeed. it’s an excellent compressor.
they should make an encoder plugin that makes it so only the people who pay can hear the music. have it linked to peoples phones for outdoor events. even.
they should just figure out a way to refund/merge whatever they paid for. if they are like “sold the company, see ya!” that’s really bad business practice. but it is the things people pull. exactly like that.
Logic has some really good stock audio units. I try to avoid most “Creative” fx plugins; as it were. lol.
I think it is a coin flip on them wether or not the plugin will actually damage/alias/phase whatever the sound negatively, or not.
Most of the “audio repair” plugins are either mostly legit or complete snake oil. But if you don’t record mistakes using electronic gear and samples, you don’t need most of them.
I find though, the more “fx” oriented a plugin is, the more likely it will degrade any sample you put through it. i will think of some freebies for this thread later
if you use 32bit plugins in Reaper you don’t even need to use a wrapper like JBridge. On MacOS, only operating system versions Mojave and earlier can bridge 32bit plugins.
