brought this s1000 back to life today. Still needs a new backlight but Akai timestretch here I come
Any talk on the Pioneer CDJ3000 here yet?
The amount of saltiness and disappointed this has caused among a lot of the online DJ community (particularly Reddit) is absolutely hilarious
I have a Symetrix 525. I believe that they were a Pacific Northwest company.
Yeah, kinda makes me want a second one for a stereo pair (if I can find one for a decent price anyway)
lovely stand too
I’ve sacked off the idea of getting turntables, I’m in the market for some 1000s now. or whichever has the usb slot. CD is dead.
Sounds absolutely lovely.
yoooo bois
what do you think i should do?
buy a drumbrute, korg minilogue and a roland se-02 all at once
or for the same price roughly
buy a new elektron analog rytm and slowly buy the two synths over the coming year
Im making electro and techno and i just really want a small hardware set up: drum machine, poly and mono synth. It might seem overkill but ive hated working this last year lol and ive got a bit of money saved up and i want to spend it on this before it runs out
or any other suggestions?
Minilogue is really fun to play (big Korg fan, got a couple), se-02 has very nice sound, drumbrute seems kinda limited in what it offers.
Got a Monotron Duo, Monotron Delay, Monotribe, Electribe (blue one), Microkorg (filled with Cuckoo’s signature patches), Volca Beats, uuhh something more probably.
EDIT these are just the Korgs.
My Doepfer Dark Energy mkIII with sequencer works very well for deep techno stuff.
Yamaha Motif 6 has cheese 90s/2000s sounds
TE OP-1 has some wonky stuff going on.
I think all analog drum machines are a bit limited in what they offer.
I’m still waiting for the Behringer TD-9 (TR-909) to drop. I haven’t sprung for the TD-8 but have been tempted.
Yeah, ive been watching synth videos for like 2 weeks straight and i think ive made my mind up on those 2 for the style i want. They just sound so nice and look so much fun
but i love drums, its my main time consumption when producing and fucking about with samples so i just think the elektron would work so good with me + just everyone thinks its the best drum machine ever and maybe its worth the up front investment in that while ive got it and can easily save for the other two one month in the future
For drums, Vermona DRM-1 mkIII is pretty damn nice, covers a lot of ground for sound shaping. Separate outs too.
post that a few months ago, looks so sick - the drum modelling sounds so good on that one
