Gear Lust Part 7

lmao, haven’t you made like 100’s of posts on here talking about spending 1000’s of pounds on coke and alcohol? But yeah, I really don’t spend much on other stuff; only buy clothes/shoes when needed and I very rarely eat out at restaurants/dont drink alcohol anymore.

It wasn’t really on a whim either, it was something I was looking into for ages and then that opportunity to get a rack started popped up. Also, not sure where the 2300gbp number came in, it was $1900usd (1425gbp) (not that that number means anything anymore after all the other modules I’ve been buying :peeking:).

((also in my slight defense, I’ve been buying all my modules used which is typically significantly cheaper than buying new, so the prices on modulargrid aren’t very accurate))

:lol_og: oh yeah, tens of thousands i reckon

it said 2300 in the link you posted and just quite a lot to spend on an item just on a whim. But you just said it wasnt on a whim and it wasnt 2300 so fair enough lol

i think buying beers and drugs is in the moment tho innit, but buying like a 3k watch when im pissed or something ive never done before

i’m poor lol

Do people ever build patch cable management into their racks? I’ve seen videos of urs where the patch cables seem to be really in the way of things

It looks good that way imo, probably easier if you are constantly moving them about?

Yeah don’t know how permanent they are, but they seem to get in the way of knobs and stuff

sign with name for the guy - maybe googly eyes

You patch the main things on the front of modules, therefore cable madness. It’s part of the look. Power goes on the back.

Looks lovely. I suspect I’ll get into it in the future.

Wassat one do?

FR tho this stuff blows my mind

that’s a cv offset knob that controls how cv input affects the knob below it :cornblur:

funny you point that module out tho, one of my recent purchases and one of the coolest ones in the rack imo,
each of the inputs on top is a filter that mimics a 3d space or ‘sound stage’. It sounds fucking insane!

headphones on for this:

(its long but there are some cool demos at the start)

My bro just bought this

It has a pre-amp so he should be able to buy these and hook them up via RCA yes?
