this turned out to be a good 10$ gamble.
This looks so slick.
Contemplating selling my 2 x 2000nxs2 and buying this.
Too bad it probably has that wav ext error.
Doubt it
why, don’t know what mixer you have, but i don’t see a single benefit of this over a pair of 2000nxs2
it’s got a big ass screen and that’s it.
i 110% doubt pioneer have fixed the firmware
Read in depth.
The display is like that of a CDJ3000 and the jog wheels can be adjusted.
Your right though…. I wouldn’t part with my 2000nxs2. Still looks slick.
i did say ‘big-ass screen’
if you’re talking about the jog displays, that’s pretty inconsequential as well as is resistance adjust imo.
there’s some other stuff like serato support and some new FX, but to me it looks like Pioneer just keeps releasing gear with minimal upgrades and bumping the price each time.
It seems like downgrade compared to the cdjs unless a) your current mixer lacks all the supercool effects b) you need something portable.
not sure what i’m supposed to see in that reddit post btw
But either way, it’s your choice
Have a djm450……really should just upgrade to a djm900nxs2
what is the cheapest gear you need to introduce breaks in you’re tracks? like talking actual out of the box hardware? what’s the usual thing people do outside of those vintage 90’s rack samplers
Maybe Model:Samples?
Yeah that or slightly more expensive, maybe the Circuit Rhythm or Circuit Tracks
What do you mean by ‘introducing breaks’? Like just playing breaks? Chopping them up on the sampler? Programming new breaks?
just playing them
looks cool, but I think it might be overkill. me and my mate have analog four, analog rytm and roland tr-8s which we use to make tunes with. I’m trying to figure out which quite simple and affordable instrument would complement those. I’m thinking of some sort of a sampler, either to launch one off effects such as vocals or something or for adding breaks or textures, much like how in a daw you’d just insert an audio track lol I’m a newb to hardware music making but honestly it’s so much better
idk all you need is a midi keyboard, just map the different slices to keys sequentially (or not) in the sampler of your choice and play away
edit: nvm you want no DAW, any cheap sampler w some buttons or midi control will do. you could even use a korg volca sampler
that’s what I was thinking. they go pretty cheap second hand
I think you need an iPhone for sending samples to it though? Or have they changed that?
