Copped earlier. When de:tu came out I was getting bored of the trap influenced 140, but stay low has really grown on me
Wow, so Jevon Ives (guy who does the vocals) from De-Tu has got a lot of other aliases for different styles of music. I noticed after seeing his name on the credits for some releases on The Chikara Project (Mystic State’s label).
He has a drum and bass / downtempo alias under Transparent. There’s a couple of D&B collabs with C-Side (other guy from De-Tu) all the way back from 2014.
He’s 1/2 of Ethos, a collab project with one of the guys from Mystic State…
Also has a dub project with his dad (so cool)
However his tracks released under his name are a far cry from his 140 content. Soul / R&B type of stuff, really feeling it imo.
It’s ridiculous how insanely talented he is.
