I always thought it was Andy Stott + his m8s remixing/producing new tunes but I dont know.

IIRC they said something about finding/receiving DAT tapes from the ‘early 90s’ with all these songs on it from an anonymous source and they are just pressing them. It doesnt really sound like that to me tho tbh, unless they just sampled some of the DATS and produced using modern techniques. I think they mostly made that up to add mystique to the records (all just my guess tho)
