Macker - MCKR001

The question quite a few people are asking - is it a Loefah release on the sly?

I wish, but personally I don’t think so.

yeah was thinking, they usually drop new loefah in the swamp rinse show and brag on about how new and loefahy it is

so those usually get id’d like way quicker

but then again I haven’t listened to the swamp show for like 2 years

I don’t see why people wish these Macker tracks were made by Loefah…how would it make the tunes any better…

sub is too low to fully enjoy on my system. will still be copping

Big release and better tunes that what Loefah himself is making these days

Nah it’s not that (at least for me), I just wish Loefah had new music coming out. Doesn’t matter who Macker is, I still copped because tunes.

so who is macker, did this literally just kinda pop up or was it getting played out

AFAIK literally popped out of nowhere, for my part, I saw it on Redeye and listened and decided to cop on a whim. Surprised so many people are talking about it.

if that’s the case I think it’s pretty sick. Showing up completely out of nowhere, strictly for the heads

Haven’t heard these tunes played out or on the radio. Think the guy behind it just made the tunes and pressed up the vinyls himself

Yeah. Macker has quite some confidence in his tunes and rightfully so, nice release and refreshing after lots of innamind style percussion heavy releases.

That was the thing that got me thinking it could be a known artist/loefah, testing the waters a bit or w/e.

I also thought at first this was some techno guy having a crack at 140

I’ve always said Veal is the most complex tune he’s ever made

Hardly

He’s a new producer. Nice tunes doe

poor man’s loefah

He’s not that new I mean a tune of his was in a chestcast mix by distance in 2012.

More cyclopedia than man… amazing find

After hearing the bits in the new loefah thread, I can say the only poor man is loefah

if loefah’s poor then it’s cos of the cocaine, but i’m sure he could still knock up a riddim like either of these in 10 minutes. and his ones probably wouldn’t have muddy mixdowns.

this dude’s nailed the “only have 4 sounds” part of loefah tunes but he has not nailed the crucial “mix those 4 sounds so fucking hard that the tune makes your head implode” bit.
