One tune at a time or......what?

When you make music do you focus on one song at a time or several at a time?

I have trouble working on one song for too long so I personally like to work on a few songs at a time so I don’t get bored of hearing one song too many times in a row with no break.

By the time I’m up to the mixing part of a song I’ve heard the song around 30 or 40 times, possibly more, I don’t count.

I wouldn’t listen to my favorite music in the world that much. I mean I love REM losing my religion but it would piss me off if I had to listen to it 50 times in a row.

So there’s two questions I’m asking here.

Do you focus on one song at a time?

How do you combat ear fatigue towards one song while making it? Or maybe it’s not an issue for you like it is for me.

I work on one at a time. If I feel like a break, I do something else (like post here).

My experiment for this week is instead of pumping out a tune in a day like I usually do, instead to focus on one tune for a full week to see if I can get more out of it: Quality over quantity.

If I wanted physical releases, they can only come out every so often anyway, so there’s no point in doing 25 tunes each two months when 2-8 would come out.
