One of my alltime favorite producers is California’s Matty G - I just love the way he integrates hip-hop, electro, soul, funk, and reggae influences into dubstep beats and bass. In fact I might just be his biggest fan - this is the third (!) tribute mix to him that I’ve done. If you’re not so familiar with his stuff, it’s worth checking it out - he was responsible for two huge early scene anthems, ‘50,000 Watts’ and ‘West Coast Rocks’, but really his whole catalogue is well worth exploring.
