Tried writing a tune made only of audio channels and samples. Feel like it turned out pretty good except I think the sub is out of control at points. Looking for thoughts on the mixdown.

You do everything in midi usaully?
Usually a mix between midi and audio. Hardest part for me on this was the workin the 808 into a sub. Usually just run a synth generating a sine wave with some Amp envelopes. Kinda like how gritty it turned out tho

the low end feels muddy yea, i’d try either hipassing those 808 hits or sidechaining the sub to them.

Thanks for the feedback man, I went thru and found some of my drum hits had a bunch of 50hz lower stuff that needed cuttin.
