Another digitone jam. Such a great box for drum sound design.
Dope sounds in this one, well done.
That crushed snare is dope man!
On the techno-grind today, as always. Made this thing in one sitting:
Dude what, this is all digitakt?!?
All digitone2, the fm synth sibling to the Digitakt2. Recorded the mix/performance from the stereo out through a tube compressor, light limiting in ableton.
All my sample comp entries are Digitakt though, including the one linked a few post up
Rough sketch of a new deep techno thing I’m working on. Arrangement is 90% done, just gotta add effects and transition sounds + mix it properly. (and yes new alias for anyone wondering)
Idk, these zappy sounds are fun but it’s hard to get em properly rhythmically synced to the groove.
Works well!
Very nice and hypno
Digitone2 acidy jam
I’m really impressed of the amount of timbres you can squeeze out of that thing. In my mind Digitone has been this “simple” FM synthesizer with limited options like the Digitakt MK1.
Even sticking to the old 4op fm engine with non sine waveforms it is very good and capable of a ridiculously large range of sounds. But the new sound engines are also fantastic. One is a 4op system that adds a separate transient layer that has a noise generator and tiny drum transient samples with its own filters and envelopes. They also added a dual osc phase distortion/wavetable/VA engine that is really good, getting a ton of great sounds from it. The swarm supersaw engine is also pretty cool, I just don’t use it very often. The comb filters also allow for some pretty basic but cool physical modeling synthesis. Between the pallet of sound engines with great filters, distortion (bit crush, SRR and overdrive per track with flexibility in where they are in the signal chain) and layering possibilities with 16 voices over 16 tracks it’s a super flexible synth.
Having the Digitone2 and Digitakt2 connected together is a full hardware production powerhouse capable of pretty much anything/everything. Digitakt2 can do full on wavetable synthesis now. I’ve built a reaktor patch for creating my own wavetables and can get super cool complex sounds from it.

Aye up,
I’m new here. I have something here for you to listen to. If it sounds a bit retro, it’s because I’m A bit retro. A strange thing to start making electronic music later in life but I have been listening to it for a long time. It’s a hobby and I consider myself a learner.
Feel free to offer any opinions.
