Been into production for the best part of a year now and have really caught the bug. I like the more brostep virtual riot, datsik, skrillex kind of genre.
Anyway, my workhorse is a mid 2010 MacBook Pro with 2.66 intel core 2 duo, a 256 gb ssd and 8gb of ram.
Using Ableton, as my DAW, serum for most growls, massive and fm8 for the rest.
I wondered if anyone is using a similar setup, my reason for asking is I’m wondering if an upgrade would be that noticeable, to be honest the ableton projects take a bit of time to load (under a minute) and my CPU rarely goes over 80% the laptop does get somewhat warm during CPU heavy tasks. Has anyone upgraded to a newer mbp, maybe from a 13 to a 15 inch screen?
