It’s not that I can’t, I just never have cuz I had an efficient alternative.
Now that doesn’t work, I need a new way. Interested to hear how others do it - tricks and shortcuts are key.
Not quite sure if you’re just chopping bits off?
use TAB to move to next transient or Z to jump to a zero crossing, adjust end length, Select the item, set time selection to the selected media item (mapped Alt+S for this) render time selection, done.
You can also use ‘Glue’ or ‘Render as a new take’ which will create a new file without going through the render dialog, would recommend creating a new project specifically for this and using the option to save media to project folder. Otherwise it will go to the generic Reaper media folder.
Cheers bud, I figured you’d be doing something like this.
why dont you use youre daw for that?
Like i already said a couple times, i had a nice quick easy method in audacity and if aint broke…
Audacity has now gone a bit shit under catalina so i need a new way and was asking around to see what methods others use so i dont have to trial and error a bunch of shit.
but it is broke now lol though init
Do you guys remember doing that on your Akai’s and EMU’s?
Exactly. Which. Is. Why. I. Was. Asking. For. Recommendations.
lol then just u’se you’ll DAW
Dude i cant help you if you havent read the thread
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
I remember getting really annoyed at the broken s2000 jogwheel
Thats pretty cool
I used to like hooking my grandad’s camcorder up to the TV and filming the output of itself and creating these weird infinity things
Re: wav editor -
This is driving me crazy, but I could swear there was a user who’d come up with a Reaper theme that was oriented towards basic waveform editing functions… can’t find it now of course.
Too bad Audition is on the SaaS model now, fuck that. I used to love working in it all the way back to CoolEdit Pro days, but Adobe had to go stick their dick in it and fuck everything up.
Argh.
