damn I totally forgot about this guy, I spent so long trying to emulate all the lil bubbles and blips in this track:

I loved that tiny slice of dubstep history with eprom and eskmo, jamie vex’d, starkey etc.

looking at my starkey - ephemeral exhibits cd and feeling nseostalgic

very glad for his dj set @ 10 days off in belgium (can’t find shit online, but it exists and it slapped) opening my mind for more erratic/experimental electronic sound.
being freshly enchanted by dmz shit and the like it sounded too bright/happpy etc at first

anyway, that set was so sick, but it is lost in time, like tears in rain

lmao, actually this exists

LET HIM STAY

Always love a stereo bass tbh and did used to pay attention to the mono only bit but idk in this day n age I guess if it sounds good just do it !

Can’t have stereo bass on vinyl.

That’s the point the video makes - the majority of tracks are released digitally, so does it matter anymore.

Ok well it’s a new concept to me. Literally only learned it today so :person_shrugging:

I love this video. It’s short & sweet! The idea seems completely reasonable for producers into digital/ VST/ midi kinda stuff. But if your tracks are going straight to a vinyl plate then I’d probably keep the bass mono like the video says.
