Just tested it out, sounds great. Got a mic stand coming from amazon today as well
What kind of mic is that?
I should pull out my mics but don’t really have a need right now except for maybe a hand held dynamic.
I had two SM57’s but sold one during a period of brokeness.
I have an EV RE-20 dynamic, and AT-3035 large diaphragm condenser, two Sennheiser 835 dynamics and a matched pair of Rode NT5 small diaphragm condensers.
Akg p420#blazeit
Found it used for $100
If you haven’t already tested it, use an ExpressionPedal to get that “into space effect”
Or get it customised . . .
(basically an extra knob for tempo and feedback + nicer buttons)
yeah man, i’ve also been thinking about modding it to accept CV input from my modular, there is also a conversion kit you can buy to properly convert it to eurorack format but my cases are full anyways
wtf I didn’t know you could do that, I just assumed it was a fully digi black box
i came across this thread on Muffwiggler a while back as well:

tempo cv input would be super nice to have esp for what i’ve been playing with lately. Recently got some Traktor Control vinyl and have been outputing midi sync from traktor to keep my modular synced with the music which is hooked up to my mixer for some live dubbing stuff. Been super fun. Have the RE-20 on the other send channel now as well so if everything was properly synced it would be extra rad
u got any details for this mod?
very cool, would take dj sets to the next level
definitely gonna be looking into turning it into a rack module
I got it explained, but havent learned enough to explain in detail.
It was a friend of mine who hooked it up.
Akai pads from a LPD8 (The LPD8 still works with just 6 pads hehe)
The original foot pedals is very hard so tricky to tap tempo accurately.
The extra pot is just connected to the expression pedal input on the inside i think.
did a little test run on filming my set up for the production tutorial thing
Ripped that straightaway!! That’s gonna do some damage to my speakers this weekend!
Thanks for the clap sample
Haha, I’ll upload the actual recording for ya when I get home from work today
Foley sounds are amazing for production. If you can find some packs around its great to have
Dude we really need to do that field recording day soon!
Been grabbing clips on my cellphone lately and getting good stuff, will be much better with one of your recorders
I have to say that as nice as it is to use a good mic instead of an iPhone that the Fieldscaper app is ridic for turning random bits into massive sound design-y goodness.
But yeah, def overdue. Upper Haight area has a lot of cool sounds floating around and two AMAZING reverb spaces in GGPark I’ve always wanted to take IRs of (a tunnel and the indoor handball courts - 3 second plus reverb tails… )
