Fuuuuuck that’s lovely!!
you don’t have to learn all of the music. just learn the bits you like and will get you closer to your goal. in fact you don’t even have to do that. as I said, just learn a few licks and chord progressions from a video like this
then explore what you’ve learned. combine them, change keys, add or remove notes, loop it up and you’re set I think
I used to use this a lot

yeah im obviously already doing that to some extent but sometimes my ears get confused along the way lol
Anyone know any decent free reverb vsts with a freeze/hold/infinite function for creating drones?
Haven’t checked out any of these, but the first one seems to do what you want, with a dedicated freeze-button for the reverb tail.

@sleeps …Big up post in other thread that unearthed these. Much insight from all, a bit of entertainment esp. w Source Direct in part 3.
English speakers - don’t get weirded out by the first minute of non-English intro in #1 please.
These deserve to be heard and seen.
tfw you rename a sample in your collection forgetting it has been used in a track, and the track can’t recognise the sample, and now you can’t find it, so you use a ton of different samples to replace it and none of them sound as good
maybe a long shot but if it’s from a sample pack and u still have that “missing sample” dialog when loading the offending track, try googling the sample initial filename and restrict search so it only returns results under whatever file format that was?
was able to painstakingly retrieve a few samples this way last time my hard drive died on me
Aye good idea.
I’ve pretty much rebuilt my percussion now though.
Good to know for next time!
Boom. Found both samples
Too bad I spent the afternoon rebuilding all the percussion in one track.
Or not. A day making music is never a day watsed.
