Yeah I need to investigate how to do it in Reaper. The crushing realisation you’ve lost a sample is brutal

it’s in the save project dialog window

So it is. I never saw that before. I need to pay attention more.
Thanks bud

finally bit the bullet and am trying to actually learn to make Alchemy patches after months of begging this analog modeled freeware synth to make rich modern trap music chords

its incredibly un-oversightly but damn the sounds that come out are peng

I’m gonna rip the audio from this video and release it on Skull Disco as a track

Sample challenge tuna with no sounds sources besides this video

I’m 100% down for this. I’ll make it the first tuna of the year in 2020.

Yeah I was partially joking when I posted it but I actually am stoked on this. Also I really wanna go free skating in Scandinavia now

Fuck that. Did you not see the bit where he measures the thickness of the ice?! 3 inches… nah I’m good :open_mouth:

Fr tho maybe it won’t be a tuna, I think I’ll do it as a standalone competition/challenge. Maybe put a couple rules down, like bpm/genre or something.

3 inches is pretty decent thickness for ice tho, at least when your skating like that. 5 cm of ice is enough to withstand the weight of one person walking on it. if there are multiple people it should be over 10 cm. 3 inches is between those.

I’ll be the one waving at you from the shore as you walk on the fragile glass water thanks

3 inches is doable. If we get 3 inches of ice, everyone and their four year olds will
go out skating here. Obviously a huge skating tradition in the Netherlands so that’s why.

I fell through the ice once. You can have great ice quality and still have bad spots that
are really hard to see. Even if a river or a lake has been frozen over for a week or more,
you can have spots where the ice is only two or three centimeters thicc. Usually because
birds have been washing their little butts in there or because of wind.
Luckily the water was only like 1.5m deep where I went through and my brother was quick
to the rescue.

Yeah birds keep the water from freezing over so there will be patches of very thin- or no
ice. Seems like there’s no word for this in English, I bet there is in Finnish? Or were you referring to the butt washing part of my comment? There’s no reason for ‘water birds’ to be in the water, 99% of them can fly just like other birds. They are in there to wash their bird butts.

Would that make it a birdet?

there are a lot of finnish ice and snow words so probably yes. yeah the butt part lol
