Rhythmic Interest 001 -- Broken Techno

I’d be into the polyrhythm idea. I also had the thought (although it’s kind of a rip of this one haha) seeing as it is dubstepforum and all… we could do something like “make a dubstep track, but you can’t use a half-step drum pattern”. like no “kick on 1, snare on 3” type stuff

That’s also a solid idea. Basically a similar idea to this one, just with dubstep

Could also make a poll

I’m good with whatever our community decides.

Polyrhythms. Back to the “step” where Dubstep got it’s name.

Poll sounds like a good idea then. Are we good with just those two ideas, or does anyone have something else to add?

Polyrhythmic steppy stuff at around 140ish would be a good challenge.

Whatever that may mean.

Maybe even at 145 if you are adventurous.

145 polyrhythms b2b trad drum pattern disallowed sounds cool. I vote for that.

Sounds absolutely perfect for my style, I’m in. Bring the 2-step!

No need for a poll imo. Kinda wanna start on mine already, hehe.
Wrote down some ideas.

Polyrhythmic 2 step it is boys. I’ll get it posted in a bit

I assume everyone thinks of this as polyMETRIC, at least that’s what I have in mind. Important distinction.

I was thinking both would be allowed.

i fux wit it, doing some mastering for a friend’s album right now but definitely want to put something together for this

I’m not saying one or the other should be disallowed, just that it’s different things.

Oh yeah, for sure. And the whole song doesn’t have to be strictly polyrhythmic/metric either I’d say, just as long as the focus is on /r h y t h m i c i n t e r e s t/
