I would seriously appreciate some honest feedback on my latest full single track
link to youtube:
And i mean feedback about everything on it, the structure, sound designs (growls drones, leads, screeches etc), mixing and mastering
OR you could simply say something short as in is the entire track good at all.
Changed the tempo 3 times and made several beats (dubstep, orchestral drums and dnb) so this is a multigenre track with certain amount of hybrid stuff, but following the same base chords i composed and overall structure throughout the song still
Did try to put some real effort into that, if it would be almost record label material or something
Note. i had considered separate bass line (mostly for the drops as the only basses on it are the basses that my sound designs create and kicks) as it would stand out more perhaps, but did not do it at least not yet.
Good lord! I loved the intro and the strings throughout. What VST were you using? The work on the drop was nice and flowed perfectly! I would have loved to hear the drop without the underlying pad. Or not have the pad play through out the entire drop. I feel like it takes away from the drop. Kind of like KTN and Deadmau5’s “Kill the mau5” I can tell you put a lot of work into the drop with the design and structure to make it melodic.
Thank you so much. As requested, here are the drops without melodies and how it looks like in Fl Studio:
You can hear the individual sound designs of mine better. Mostly used Serum with them crunchier growls and drones, metallic drones and high pitch screeches but some of them i designed with Massive as i am showing the “Skrillex style” growl Gentle Speech Modern talking design. Layered few of them on top of each other and used some individual renders as vocodex modulation for stronger impact. But i prefer Serum on my designs (even so that it is A LOT MORE CPU hungry), i find it a lot easier to use and more modular and the sounds sound better with it
Sorry for delay with my answer time. Been doing other stuff
I have been listening to Virtual Riot’s music and other melodic stuff lately in order to hear how some really talented producers produce their music. Virtual Riot also uses Serum a lot and i truly love that plugin so it is helpful to listen what kind of stuff he can make with it and try to learn to design also something maybe a bit similar but still i don’t want to become a copy cat.
