sorry i couldnt get it together in time once again for this, been hectic ova here lately. Will give this week’s stuff a listen and some comments in the next day or two thooo
i had a little not really groundbreaking idea lol
maybe to keep things interesting everybody of us could pick one song/tune the person really likes and is willing to give the stems away and the others have a go at a remix
like one tune per week but still normal tunas allowed too

love the melody that comes in at the end and the outro mayb hints of those earlier? but it feels kinda finished too

I think photek bought all the nice sample cds in the like the beginning of the 90s - i dont think he went through tons of records - more like new age cds and styff like that - which is funny but cool

ah that could be but i think alot of tunes people love now arent build from the core or even really searched for samples
maybe i am wrong lol
but seeing like those prodigy beats rebuild videos its insane what some people are capable of with mostly samples cut on the other hand

i personally dont buy the opinion that we need ‘good’ quality samples at all…
everything can be that first building block - and then you just pick another sound that works with the first one - - but neither had to be really good fidelity or whatever to begin with - its only context

@Jizz had listened on laptop phones prior to listening with proper headphones, makes much more sense with the latter
maybe you could beef up the bass, especially the very low tone? like distort + lowpass to have more harmonics
good work on the drums too. maybe you could have this mallet-like instrument at the end come earlier, even for short stabs/incidentals if you want to maintain that very minimal vibe you got
@BudSpencertron keep on with the grime vibes, sick stuff, minor grip but there’s a slight click audible in the bass (the first one that comes in), its especially audible in the first seconds, also the reverb you use on one of the snares (around 0:45) sounds a bit weird to me on headphones, like it sounds as if this single snare is on a completely different space than the rest
liking the glitches in the middle, good shit

really dig it nice layers on every sound
you got some inspiration form some idm? sounds like it in a good way reminds me of different old idm tunes for different reasons
hm i think its hard to say if you should change sth this music doesnt folow conventional guidelines
maybe hints of the meloy coming towards the end or some minimal beat breaks/changes earlier
but yeah same as the last one would def work in an album too
