Any tricks for making skrillex type of robo type of vocals?
Have you tried vocoding a synth into a vocal recording? It can give you interesting results.
I found some pretty cool results by using a bandpass filter with some multiband compression/saturation then into a vocoder. Gets an almost Space Laces kind of sound.
The bandpass takes out a lot of frequencies but you get them back with the multiband and vocoder. adds a really cool effect

Try making a robo synth and use that as a modulator.
There are youtube tutorials on that, but you can either use FM or make a wobble and either way run it into a downsampler.
Another thing Skrillex does is repitch vocal chops.
