well he changed the snare & of course eminem rapped on it so id say its pretty different

not to mention its a 4 bar loop out of an entire song

also im sure they paid the label to clear that sample

For sure, but for the most part we don’t pay to clear samples. You use a lot of drum machine samples and I assume you don’t own one, and haven’t paid for the recordings either. Yeah, some are free, but in theory they shouldn’t be. Sorry to call you out so directly, I guess nobody pays for drum samples in general these days, and nobody thinks too much of it, bar the odd exception.
And a lot of the time, people don’t even do things like re-arrange chords from the original and just play them at a different tempo and add stuff around it. Which is basically DJing that track into what’s otherwise one of your own.
I dunno, I feel like there’s a contradiction.
