Nice one. Ars dada is tres gud

Is he playing the tunes via the laptop and running them thru some sort of FX unit?

I’m not sure how his setup looks for DJing actually. When he’s playing his own stuff live, he uses Ableton with a custom built https://yaeltex.com/ controller.

He says he DJs with Ableton too, from a laptop. Pretty complex setup of fx and stuff, I recon.

I bet the real multitracks has been available for at least a decade.

Messing around with a log drum patch for Decent Sampler.

1st iteration.

2nd iteration.

Went to a friend this weekend and recorded some music. I had this riff idea that I’ve been working on for a while, and we managed to construct a whole song out of it. Soca style, in 13/16 time (13 sixteenth notes before it loops).

Fixed my “mastering” chain a bit and set it to be the default project that opens when I start Reason.

I might have to rearrange the order of them, but they are:

MCompare from MeldaProduction, a reference plugin that you can throw songs into, and A/B them against your mix with a single button. I’ve mapped this virtual button to a physical pad on my Korg nanoPAD2 controller.

Selig Gain is an RE (Rack Extension, Reason’s own plugin format) that I mainly use for checking stuff in mono.

ISOL8 is a multiband thing where you can mute and solo specific bands very easily.

Voxengo SPAN is a free audio frequency spectrum analyzer.

Ozone Maximizer is a limiter with a bunch of settings. Also an RE, old version.

I haven’t really used many plugins before, since Reason already comes with a lot of good ones, and you can basically build what you like from scratch due to the modular way Reason functions. It definitely lacks in the EQ area though, so that’s probably something I’ll look into getting next.

Skankin Oslo does drum & bass tonight. I might shoot some photos.

My crew mate IGUBU bringing some new heat. Forward-thinking stuff.

Ars Dada got a new one on a compilation out on Wonk#ay Records too, free DL.

Been drawing a bit again. Added some colour to a house I sketched up as a perspective exercise.

Some random abstract shapes, markers & fineliner.

Shit is expensive af, but been collecting stuff over some time.

Looked through some old photos we have on the Skankin Oslo page on Facebook.

This is probably the sickest photo I’ve ever taken. From 2012, when we booked Serial Killaz to Hausmania, Oslo.

EDIT wtf link broke
