Fuckin’ IKEA should run a sale on dsf goddammit, 30% off for truhedz.
I actually got to work with IKEA’s lead designers for a day or two a couple years back. They had some partnership w Teenage Engineering and hinted at big things in their presentation… I was thinking like IKEA does home studios lol. It was far from that, total puff piece using prosumer audio as lifestyle marketing accessory.
But imagine if they did…

IKEA b2b’d with DDouble for Xmas, pretty sure they could market it so strong that they’d make a (bigger) fortune.

Yeah, I knew all about Kamprad going in (due diligence and all.) It was one of the things playing in the back of my mind during our get-acquainted dinner in Älmult.* There was zero indication of fascist ideology anywhere in my short time there, but definitely massive scale-effect capitalism. No mention of potential North Korean slaves in the vast Russian east either.
The actual campus was remarkably diverse though, not just for Sweden. A lot of similarities to the Facebook campuses in some ways.
*I was a contractor.

i dont think theres any bad ideology left in the company
its just worth stating in terms of how well praised they are and they probably dont pay too much tax
having to make do with whatever recs i’ve bought during lockdown as all my gear is at my old gaff & got no room at new gaff for everything atm
