Whenever I do these itās like a scarcity mentality that leads me to be like āwell I got 8 or 9 different snares and 14 hats I made to choose fromā all loaded in the sampler - all this sound design clutter basically - when I should be asking if Iām gonna need 8 or 9 different snares for whatever Iām makingā¦
Keeping options around that never get used just takes up space. This is why too many samples fucks me up; rummage sale mentality.
Gotta simplify.

I go the opposite way and just smash the samples together without thinking of sound design and then worry it just sounds like a sample pack car crash.
