Just to let everyone know, once the voting poll is in place I can’t remove tracks.
So if you submitted a track, you have to see it through to the end. No rage quitting I’m afraid.
shiiiieeeet, sick turnout, need more of these. After lurking around the dubs page for a few months now I feel like I can take an educated guess as to who some of these are made by.
Echo and Juliet are the ones I’m going for.

Lots of great entries and obv a lot of work gone in, no idea who’s is who’s, I got it down to a shortlist of about 5, ended up going for H - good melodies, nicely arranged, even tho not my style I appreciate the work that’s gone in plus the fact that no one else has voted for it yet so I felt sorry for H lol. Also voted for I because I love the groove, nice hats.
surprisingly little dubstep in this
A - Very nice and groovy
B - Nice bassline, gets a bit repetitive throughout though, i think i know who this might be
C - Interesting arrangement, think it would fit in a soundtrack of some sort
D - Crisp mixdown - not feeling the melody much though, a bit repetitive too
E - Really feeling this one
F - Great mix and intro, but it kinda goes nowhere
G - Nicely done ,but not my cup of tea, the pads are ace
H - Loving this one, nice development throughout, would love a copy once the voting is over
I - Very funky, i think the top end is a bit too sharp compared to the break and kicks, but that might be on purpose
J - Another good tune, the intro could be a touch more interesting
K - Quite different to the other tunes, cool beat, but doesn’t grab me as much, the middle part feels kinda disconnected
L - The breaks are drowning other elements out, cool tune nonetheless
M - Loving the lo-fi-ness of this one, gets a bit repetitve towards the end
N - The mix is very muddy on this one, kinda hard to pick out anything other than the hats. Not doing much for me
O - Not feeling the high freq pad/synth after 40 secs, it just seems kinda out, rest is good
Giving it to H & J, really impressive turnout, big ups to everyone who contributed, couldn’t bring myself to do much with the samples, maybe next time

Alpha and Hotel, I started writing a long-ass review for each one and only got to Hotel’s
But Juliet is so good…
I listened to them from the bottom going up
the best was certainly last for me…

It was pretty tough to decide, but I ended up going with Alpha and Beta. Would’ve gone with Juliet rather than Beta, but unfortunately that one was taken out.

I had forgotten about the track sequencing woes (look at the play counts in order, then compare to votes) we always used to get with the linear list on the old contests. It’s perceptual too, esp. with this many tracks.
Also: house music. 
Ah well.
i guess its mostly unavoidable bcuz unconscious bias and all that
still, i feel having rounds helps mitigate the issue?

I think rounds was the best solution we’d found, although not ideal. The best would be a randomizing player.
