Exactly if it gets 90 percent of the way to " that sound" plus the chorus Im in…strong text
Most of what I hear these days…now that the dust settled…ismhow good the plug outs sound…
you could try to only cook stuff that sounds good when you record it, like hitting a plane with two birds
recommended.
Modal electronics Looking really good… 002 is definitely on my wants list.
yeah i’ll give it a listen, everyone knows it won’t sound exactly the same as the original, but picking up a Jupiter 8 will cost you the best part of 6K GBP…and the JP-08 will cost around 250 GBP
An actual jupiter 8 costs about as much as all my gear combined lol…

I can’t tell you how good it felt when it turned on with the first try and every component was listed as working in the bios.
How much did that set you back, if you don’t my asking?
£1502 Without windows. Most of that was the Motherboard and CPU though. So it will stand the test of time when I need to upgrade parts in a few years.
I just need to move my files over and then I’m going to spend the rest of the day playing Arkham Knight. I can’t wait because my old GPU was so bad I haven’t been able to play any big titles for the last 4 years.

Ah, okay. Thought this was a pure production machine.
Really love their machines but boutique companies just seem incapable of getting their prices comparable to the more established companies.
It was designed to be a production rig but I had a little extra money so I put in a decent graphics card. I probably will spend way more time producing on it than playing games.
Im going to keep the SSD clear for just samples and VSTs then use the Hard Disk for junk like games. That way my DAW will run really well.
Right the price is so friggin high
This is why I never want to get into modulars;
Great article and fun to watch YouTube videos on some of the units, but the tech heavy language makes my brain lurch a little.
Also, does anyone have experience with a Moog Minitaur and could give me their opinion on it?
Anyone used/using any of the FabFilter stuff? http://www.fabfilter.com/ the eq looks interesting…up to 96db/octave?
You can do everything you need to with that set up.
What do you record to? Your DAW?
What do you use as a sequencer? One of those MPC’s I’m assuming.
