(its great fun)

I do this on just about every tune I make. Fun technique.

My granny passed away sometime ago and left me with 5k.

Haven’t received it yet, but then I do, instead of investing or spending it on drugs I reckon I’m going to buy a MacBook Pro & Rane TTM57 MKII.

Those two pieces of gear would be almost the whole 5k.

But would be a much needed upgrade from my black macbook & rane 57ttm-sl.

once I accidentally recorded a tune from the tiny shitty onboard mic on my laptop and was amazed at how raw it sounded in the best way possible

Been using the built in mic on my sp404sx a lot recently, sounds like shit in a good way. I think. Also been driving shit through my yamaha board and recording it back into ableton for the same reason. Might start doing that and bouncing it to tape and back in again.

I ended up picking up a Slim Phatty. I remember talking about this on the old board. I was thinking about picking up a Minitaur but saw that the Slim Phatty’s were just $100 more with a higher octave range.

It sounds like a Moog which is a sound I’ve been wanting in my studio.

Thinking about getting the PreSonus Monitor Station… Thing looks like it will solve all my monitoring needs for now and the future.

Anyone recommend it?

Good god, that’s ugly.

Yeah but have you seen what it dose? I have never seen something that gives you that meny connections and that much control over them.

It comes in black as-well.

Sold my Electribe 2, kept the Electribe sampler 2, which is basically an slimmed down E2 with lots of good sampling capabilities.

The gear elf brought me a DSI Evolver Desktop for my bday.

I am done for a while. Back to making music.

Beginning to realize I may never be able to afford a prophet 6 and I don’t know if I can handle it :corncry:

Someday ! Someday…

Save your pennies…I stopped smoking herb to fund gear…never looked back.

Hopefully! I did the same for vinyl. Don’t miss the green one bit tbh.

Seriously contemplating selling my car to get a prophet. If I move to a city I won’t need it.

You just have to figure out where to cut corners…I stopped buying so many convience items during my commutes. That helped a lot too. I own more than a few pieces I never thought I could afford, though a Prophet 6 would be hard for me to swing even with my cut backs…thatd be my one purchase for a year, probably.

Personally Im holding out to get an Analog 4 at this point.

Yeah but convenience! Food is the big one. Buying ingredients and cooking at home instead of eating out is a big money vs. time trade off. I’m not the best cook and a lazy POS to boot. Committing to cooking is like committing to the gym. You love talking about doing it, and know you really should, and maybe you even get your ass into it for a week or two but eventually you end up feeling tired after work and order jimmy johns planted on the couch.

That and vinyl. I can’t help but support great music, so people just need to stop making great music so I can keep my checks again.

DSI/Sequential and Elektron are the two companies that have never made bad machines. Wishing you luck!

Saytek goes through his live setup.

new roland synths leaked…

Ill hold back judgement until they hit the streets, but the JP 08 looks interesting for the money…any synth with its own sequencer has me interested.

yeah i loved the jupiter 8, if this thing is anywhere near it i’ll be intersted

“Roland is using the same virtual analog technology, Analog Circuit Behaviour (ACB), that it’s used
with the Aira line.”

DANGER! DANGER, WILL ROBINSON!
